Eduroam – Connect Windows 8

These instructions explain how to connect a Windows 8 laptop / notebook computer to the eduroam wireless network. Some tablets use “Windows 8 RT” – if you wish to connect a Windows 8 RT device (a device with an ARM processor), you should follow these instructions instead.

The computer you are currently using looks like a Windows 8 RT device – you should click here for the Windows 8 RT instructions. The instructions below will not work on an RT device.

1. Download and run the eduroam Windows 8 set-up wizard.
   N.B. If you have downloaded the wizard in the past, delete the copy you have, and download it again from the link above. This will ensure you are using the latest version.
2. Once the set-up wizard has completed, choose eduroam from the list of available wireless networks, and click connect

3. Enter your Bristol username with @bristol.ac.uk on the end e.g. ab12345@bristol.ac.uk Enter your password, and click Ok
