FAQ: What is BOpen? Should I use it?

BOpen is an open wireless network that is free for anyone to use. It is provided by Bristol City Council and is available at many locations across the city including various museums and libraries.

BOpen may not provide access to University eResources, such as your file store, eJournals and databases. Therefore we recommend that all staff and students configure their computer to use eduroam in preference to BOpen in locations where both are available. Eduroam is encrypted to keep your information safe.
