Yes, almost definitely! But…
First check that wireless isn’t already there.
Hotspots are usually departmentally funded.
If you are a member of staff, please refer to your departmental IT support team.
If you are a student, you could email your department/faculty office and explain why and where you want a hotspot (CC wireless-helpNOSPAM@bristol.ac.uk). Ask them to talk to your department’s IT support team, who will know how to get a hotspot installed. Please take the time to explain why you want the hotspot where you are requesting it.
If you are a departmental support person, the procedure to request a new wireless hotspot is detailed on the support staff wiki.
If ‘here’ is in an UBHT premises, such as BEH, IS has to ensure that the hotspots will not interfere with any medical equipment and get the permission of the UBHT. As such, it may not be possible for you to have wireless, or require extra time before installation is completed.
