Bristol Staff & Students using eduroam at Bristol will be directly connected to Bristol’s network and so will be able to access eJournals and other resources as if using a University computer. When using eduroam at another organisation you will be connected to that organisation’s network, not Bristol’s. Therefore, to access some Bristol resources you might have to configure your computer to use a “remote-access” service.
Bristol has a variety of remote access services available, including remote desktop, VPN, or web-proxy. To find out which is most appropriate for you, and how to set it up, please refer to: www.bristol.ac.uk/offsite Note that some organisations may block one or more of these methods. Therefore we recommend that you try the “Remote Desktop” option first.
