Eduroam – Connect Kindle

Older Kindle devices can not be connected to eduroam, as
their software does not support WPA2 Enterprise. You should be able to connect newer devices, such as the
Kindle Touch, as described below.

These instructions were created using a Kindle Touch running firmware version 5.1.0. Screenshots reproduced here by kind permission of The University of Leicester.

  1. Press the home button to return to the home screen.
  2. Tap Menu.

  3. Tap Turn On Wireless from the list of options.

  4. Again, tap Menu.

  5. Tap Settings.

  6. Tap Wi-Fi Networks.

    Tap Wi-Fi Networks
  7. Tap eduroam.

    Tap eduroam
  8. Enter your university User Name, followed by “@bristol.ac.uk”,
    then your university Password. Then tap Connect.

    Enter username and password, then tap
Connect
  9. The words “Connecting” and then “Connected” will
    briefly appear at the top of the screen. You should now be connected to eduroam.

    You are now connected to eduroam
