Janet, the organisation that provides the University’s Internet connection, will be doing scheduled maintenance on January 8th. There will be two ~15 minute breaks affecting our primary internet link between 07:00-09:00 on the 8th. We hope to be able switch to backup links during these breaks.

During any interruptions:

  • People at Bristol will not be able to access external web sites, Bristol Gmail and other internet resources
  • Bristol users visiting other eduroam organisations or using eduroam at BCC locations might not be able to connect at all until after the maintenance is complete
  • Those outside the University will not be able to access this web site and other Bristol based web sites and resources
  • Access to internal services from campus should be unaffected
